Blue are getting ready for their comeback, says Duncan James

ALL RISE… as Blue tease a big chart comeback — but not before releasing their explosive autobiography.
In an exclusive chat with Guilty Pleasures, Duncan James told us the band are teeing up new tunes.
‘We never actually split up, which people don’t realise,’ he said, before adding the boys will be back in the studio this year to release a new album in 2018.
The noughties faves haven’t dropped a record since 2015’s Colours — but Duncan assured fans they’re ‘not washed up and finished’ yet.
‘We’ve got to make sure we come back really current, that’s the challenge,’ he added. ‘Craig David’s done it, Steps have done it. There is a market.’
However, first on the to-do list is tell-all tome All Rise, out in October, which, says Duncan, will see the band set the record straight on ‘why we went bankrupt’.
‘We weren’t allowed to talk about stuff, legally, for many years,’ the 39-year-old said. ‘Everybody was saying we spunked our money up the wall but that wasn’t the case.’
Duncan also revealed he is still reeling from having two emergency surgeries on his back last year.
And he feels pressure to stay in shape for his role as bad boy Ryan Knight in Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
‘They like you to take your top off all the bloody time! I have to be careful about what I eat. I can’t do cardio — due to my back — and I don’t want to get fat,’ he quipped.
Blue — completed by Lee Ryan, 34, Simon Webbe, 39, and Antony Costa, 36 — play Reload Festival at Norfolk Showground next month.
