Big Little Lies star Alexander Skarsgård’s out of luck with ladies

BIG Little Lies star Alexander Skarsgård says he has big problems finding true love — as he fears women only fancy him because he is famous.
The True Blood actor spoke about his love life after ex Alexa Chung yesterday revealed she was dating several guys at once following their split last year.
The 41-year-old hunk, who plays Nicole Kidman’s abusive hubby on the box, said he struggled with dating in his teens — and continues to do so.
‘To have people talk about you and say, “Well this is who Alex is…” when I had no idea myself, it just f***ed with my self-confidence,’ he said. ‘Because if a girl looked at me, I thought she was only interested because she had seen me in the movie. It made me feel worthless.’
The Swedish movie star told Elle magazine: ‘I wanted girls in school to like me because I was funny or cute or interesting. That’s what you want isn’t it, when you’re 13? And I guess when you’re 40 as well.’
Skarsgård, who dated model and TV host Chung, 34, for two years, says he’ll never post a couple’s selfie online when he next falls in love. Having banned himself from social media, the Golden Globe winner said: ‘Sometimes it’s good to be bored, because your mind wanders; creativity is born this way.
‘But we don’t allow for those moments anymore, because if there are three seconds of downtime, you’re on your phone, checking your Insta-feed or Twitter.’
