Big Brother breaks with tradition

USUALLY, viewers of reality show Big Brother get to vote out the most irritating housemate — but this time around, the show has a surprise up its sleeve.
Instead of voting someone out, viewers’ first task tonight will be to vote someone in.
And whoever that mystery somebody is will have access to the outside world and ‘great power’ in the house, according to Channel 5 bosses.

Sounds like a move that’s guaranteed to caused friction among the housemates, six of whom have already been announced.
Big Brother launches tonight at 8.30pm, hosted by Emma Willis — and channel bosses will doubtless be hoping that the voting twist will be enough to stop viewers turning over to Love Island, also starting tonight, on ITV2.
