Ballroom moves will keep Faye on her Tozer

AFTER critics claimed Faye Tozer will surely know all the Steps when she enters this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, Claire Richards leapt to the defence of her bandmate.
She pointed out that even TV presenters will have been taught to dance in the past. ‘Who hasn’t had an advantage?’ Claire demanded.
‘There are plenty of people in that line-up who have had some kind of dance experience. There’s very few that have had very little dance experience.

‘Even if you are a TV presenter you probably went to stage school. They would have had more dance training than me. I wasn’t trained at all. I’ve only danced in Steps. It doesn’t make me a trained dancer.’ The singer also said the choreography in a pop band would be entirely different to 42-year-old Faye learning to master the tango, salsa or waltz.
‘Ballroom is different,’ she said, while insisting her friend would nail it. ‘You could be good at one dance and not the other.
‘Faye’s got the right posture. She has the brain of a dancer if you like because she will pick things up quite quickly and she will throw herself into it a hundred per cent.’
