Baby on (diving) board… Tom Daley thrilled to be a dad

OLYMPIC diver Tom Daley and his husband Dustin Lance Black are expecting their first child.
The couple marked their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple by announcing that the baby is expected in a few months’ time.
Black, an Oscar-winning US screenwriter, shared a photo of the pair nestled cheek to cheek and holding a photo of a scan of their baby. He captioned it: ‘A very happy #ValentinesDay from ours to yours.’
Daley, 23, then shared a similar snap online — this time with the parents-to-be looking at the camera — and writing: ‘Happy Valentines Day.’
A spokesman for the couple confirmed: ‘Tom and Dustin are thrilled to share that they are expecting their first child in 2018.’
Their news comes only six months after Daley admitted they were keen to start a family.
He explained: ‘Lance and I definitely want a family in the future — who knows when? We’re both lucky to have supportive families and we want to share that with our own children.’ The couple, who live in London, married at Bovey Castle in Dartmoor, Devon, last May after getting engaged in October 2015. They have admitted it was love at first sight when they were introduced in 2013.
On their wedding video Daley says: ‘Within the first few minutes of conversation with Lance, things suddenly and massively changed for me. I fell in love. Every single part of him, the way he thinks, the way he acts and everything that he does just makes me fall in love with him every single day more and more.’
Dustin, 43, added: ‘When Tom and I met, I knew instantly that I was in trouble. I knew I’d met my match.’
However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for the pair. At Christmas Daley admitted their romance was ‘far from perfect’ having previously confessed to cyber sex behind Dustin’s back.
