Ariana Grande points the finger at ticket rise

ARIANA GRANDE has pointed the finger at Manchester Pride bosses for putting up ticket prices for her show.
Fans fumed after discovering tickets for the annual party had more than doubled — from £30 in 2018 to £71 this year — due to the US star’s attendance.
Defending herself online, the Problem singer wrote: ‘I have nothing to do with ticket pricing. Manchester Pride sets those rates. They’re out of my control.’
Her tweet came after fans blasted the 25-year-old, with one writing: ‘Ariana headlining pride when she’s straight (as far as we’re aware) and doubling the price of tickets. Smells like exploitation of the lgbt community to me.’
She also defended her signing as a straight artist, pointing out it has been OK for gay icons Kylie Minogue and Cher to play Pride in the past.
‘I’m not claiming to be the hero of the community,’ she said. ‘The LGBTQ community has been so supportive of me. The relationships I have with my LGBTQ fans, friends, and family make me so, so happy.
‘I want to celebrate and support this community, regardless of my identity or how people label me.’
