Apprentice couple with eyes not just on the prize

CONTESTANTS on The Apprentice mixed business with pleasure as they chased Lord Alan Sugar’s £250,000 investment — and each other.
Recruiter James White, 26, and PR/marketing manager Jade English, 25, hooked up during filming, according to The Sun. There is a ban on hanky panky at the BBC show’s London mansion.
And it seems the couple also scored highly in the contest stakes, with both given 12/1 odds of winning by Betway.
Mr White, from Birmingham, said: ‘Intimidation is what motivates me. I want to be bigger and more successful than anyone.’
Ms English said: ‘I am a brilliant negotiator and I’m not all talk.’
A spokesman for the show refused to comment on the rumoured romance.
Lord Sugar, 70, returning to flex his firing finger in the 13th series, said Brexit has changed the game. ‘We’re in strange times now, with Brexit,’ he said. ‘But be under no illusion, I’m the one who decides who’s going to remain and who’s going to leave. Simple as that’.
He will be joined by trusted advisers Karren Brady and Claude Littner as 18 new hopefuls take on tasks ranging from creating a range of burgers to running doggy daycare centres.
Confectioner Sarah Lyan, 35, from London, and clothing firm owner Sarah Jayne-Clark, 25, from Derbyshire, are odds-on favourites at 5/1.
The Apprentice airs on October 4 at 9pm on BBC1
