Anthony Joshua: I want to help kids fight their demons

HEAVYWEIGHT champ Anthony Joshua says his rise to the top of boxing has been all about state of mind — and he wants to help troubled kids learn to share his positive attitude.
The ex-bricklayer, who is set challenges by Bear Grylls in a new TV show and spars with the survivalist, had run-ins with the law before finding fame and wants youngsters to avoid his mistakes.
The 28-year-old says during the programme: ‘Now I look back, I think if there’s anything I want to attach myself to, it’s to help change the mindset of kids that are going through tough times because it starts from here [he points to his head].’
Joshua, now a father-of-one, says he turned a corner after he left his hometown of Watford and concentrated on boxing.
Bear’s Mission With Anthony Joshua is on tomorrow night on ITV at 9pm.
