Angelina defangs a tarantula — then she eats it

ANGELINA JOLIE has been sharing her love of Cambodia’s cuisine with her kids — by cooking up crickets, scorpions and a tarantula on live TV.
Continuing her press trip to promote new movie First They Killed My Father, the Hollywood superstar granted BBC World News further access after opening up yesterday about her split with Brad Pitt.
This time, the focus was on creepy-crawlies, which Angelina proved surprisingly adept at preparing.
‘See the hard part where you have the teeth?’ she said, getting stuck into a tarantula. ‘Take the fangs out.’
And she didn’t balk at tucking in either, saying: ‘It’s actually really good the flavour.’
But Angelina did admit the scorpion was ‘hard to chew’.
Her kids were less keen, though, with Knox, 8, branding the bugs as being like ‘flavourless chips’.
Perhaps he just needs to build up slowly, like his mum.
‘Crickets, you start with crickets,’ she said. ‘Crickets and a beer and then you kind of move up to tarantulas.’
