What’s your worst online dating experience?
I once turned up to a date, and my date was wearing clown shoes! He’d just finished his shift as a clown. He was a good kisser though!
Why did you decide to launch your own dating app and how is it different?
Having found no gay dating app facilitating those looking for more than a hook-up, we felt it was archaic. Laws have changed. Gay men can get married and have children. We are evolving. Whilst Chappy has a ‘Mr. Right Now’ function we also have a ‘Mr. Right’ function — so, users have a choice who they’re matched with.
What are your three best tips for bagging the right fella?
1. Your profile is about selling your life — and how they can be a part of it.
2. The more photos and info the better.
3. When you get a date, make sure it’s fabulous. Be yourself!
Blind date is coming back, would you be up for taking part?
It’s a great show but I’m focused on setting-up on Chappy.
Do fly on the wall TV shows like MIC have an expiry date?
No, not at all! A window into people’s lives will always get people tuning-in — it’ll always be compelling and reinvented.
