Adidas urged to axe Kanye West over ‘slavery’

KANYE WEST’S claims that slavery is a ‘choice’ could hit him hard in the wallet.

There are growing calls for Adidas, which owns his Yeezy trainers range, to ditch the 40-year-old following his remarks.

An online petition from social network Care2, which already has thousands of backers, states: ‘Kanye West has a right to free speech, and the right to spout lies and misinformation and misplaced opinions — but we as consumers have the right to fight back. That is why Care2 is asking Adidas to drop their partnership with Mr West.’
